This gentleman in his mid 40’s had an assortment of concerns with his smile. He felt that some teeth did not look right, were poorly shaped, or misplaced within his smile. He also felt some fillings and bonding were unsightly or mismatched. Many of his concerns were alleviated when six porcelain veneers were placed.

This female in her late 20s had direct bonding placed by a previous dentist several years earlier. Some of the teeth required bonding repairs on multiple occasions. At first glance, this spry 76 year old woman, appears to be missing one of her front teeth. Upon closer inspection, we notice that she is missing her two lateral incisors, and that her left front teeth have moved a full tooth length towards the back of her mouth. Here is how this dental challenge was solved. She had five porcelain veneers and a 3-unit all-porcelain bridge placed to help everything blend together. Note the dramatic, yet quite lifelike, transformation.

This actor and extreme athlete was notified by his director that his front teeth were creating problems when a camera angle included a close up of his face (note the before photo). His teeth appeared less dark in this photo than they appeared in a movie print. Due to a traumatic sports accident, he lost two front teeth and two others were severely discolored. While he would have loved to have had comprehensive care, we had a couple of days, not months, to make his smile “workable to the eyes of the camera.” There was little choice but to leave most of his existing dental work intact. One porcelain veneer and one all porcelain crown were placed on his top front teeth. Notice how nicely the shade blends in and the surfaces properly reflect the light. Can you tell which tooth had the crown and which tooth had the veneer?
